Handling Services by Lynn Knapp
I have been showing dogs professionally for approximately  14 year's. I have
handled many breeds to several accomplishments and numerous AKC
championship's.
My original breed was German Shepherd's for 36 years. I competed in Obedience,
Tracking and Schutzhund. I was involved in Search & Rescue for 14 years as well.
I am a true dog lover, I have lived & breathed dogs since I can remember, I
dragged every stray I found home with me and even "rescued" some dogs I
'thought' were being abused because they were kept on chains, however...the
sheriffs department informed me I was wrong when they came to take the dogs
back and return them to thier owners.....
I have been married to the same wonderful man for the past 28 years. We live in
Eastern Washington state where we have several acres and several horses. We
enjoy horseback riding, boating, camping & family BBQ's.
Although I 'Love' showing dogs and consider it 'My relaxation time', I take I very
seriously. Many say they treat your dog like it was their own, I guarantee we do.
Our set-up is not a pristine kennel that houses 60 dogs with hired help...it is only
our home we offer to share with your dog(s). All of our client dogs are in our
home with us and our home is set up to accommodate the dogs. We have fenced
completely around our house with separate dog yards within. Dogs are only in
crates to eat and are never left in a crate, (I have a great fear of fire and my worst
nightmare would be that, God forbid, there was a fire and we had dogs locked in
crates). I have real issues with dogs being kept in raised floor pens and wont do it
so any coated breeds I handle are ringside P/U only, I believe a dog has to be
allowed to be a dog and that involves them rolling around in the grass, laying in
the dirt or whatever, just being dogs.
Your dog is truly part of our family while in our care.
I am currently only handling toy breeds, non-coated Terriers & non-coated breeds
from the Non-Sporting groups.
